Calvary is alive and well after 60 years of ministry in Green Bay. We have grown from being a small mission church into one of the leading Lutheran churches in Northeast Wisconsin.
Over the years the pastors have changed, but the mission remains the same – to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to all who will hear, and to fill the needs of our fellow human beings.
The path we have taken hasn’t always been smooth. We’ve encountered many challenges along the way. But God has continued to walk with us and given us the material and volunteer resources we needed to do what God has called us to do.
With God’s presences in our midst, we will continue to worship, educate, reach out and to serve God and others for many, many more years. Follwing God’s vision we will continue to be a leadership church not only in Green Bay, but also in our Lutheran Synod.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
As a community, Calvary seeks to be a place that supports and prays for each other and our lives in Christ. Blessed to serve as your Associate Pastor, I have found this to be a community that encourages each other to live out our baptismal promises while surrounding one another with love and prayerful support. It is a great place to be a part of and a wonderful community in which to belong!
That desire to belong, to be part of something is a longing we all share. “Belonging” helps us define who we are. Belonging joins us to a specific community and that community becomes a part of how we understand ourselves and who we understand ourselves to be. Belonging to the community we find our identity in Christ.
As we celebrate 60 years of belonging together in Christ we look forward to the ways God will continue to shape and form us as a community. We also look forward to the mission and ministry God has in store for us in the years to come and pray for the wisdom and will to follow.
